Role

The Brand Management team is made up of strategy-minded brand leaders. We are part brand-builders, part strategists, and part account managers.  

The Mekanism Brand Director is a passionate, collaborative, outgoing, creative-oriented leader and problem-solver. They are a key member of the Seattle office who will help to onboard, manage and grow a newly won Seattle area-based brand. This person will be responsible for fostering breakthrough creative and a happy client relationship.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Onboard, manage and lead a new brand 
    • Onboard client and establish best practices early for how to engage in an agency partnership.
    • Lead all client assignments from briefing through project completion. You will push the work, not just execute.
    • Understand our client’s business, generate new ideas to enhance performance and identify new opportunities to grow scope. 
    • Be comfortable with ambiguity and defining new ways of working.

 

  • Build and grow relationships 
    • Possess a self-assurance to foster and navigate long-term relationships with a range of senior clients from various backgrounds. 
    • Foster a collaborative, communicative work environment across a multidisciplinary internal team of strategists, creatives, brand managers, social and production specialists.
  • Influence air-tight creative briefs, strategies and presentations
    • Partner with Brand Strategy to turn assignments into clear creative briefs.
    • Lead clear, compelling presentations that articulate a clear Mek POV. 

 

  • Drive the development of amazing creative
    • Spend your days supporting the creation and production of amazing creative that solves our client’s business problems.

 

  • Project manage many moving parts
    • Work with Project Management to develop timelines, traffic sheets and creative rotations in tandem with production and media.
    • Partner with the Managing Director and finance to drive the overall financial health of the account (monitor budgets and burn; manage invoicing, POs, travel expenses, etc.).

 

  • Help develop Brand Management overall
    • Observe, identify and communicate ways to improve the team, our process and the department.

 

Qualifications

  • People describe you as: awesome, fearless, proactive, detail-oriented, funny, quick on your feet.
  • You should have 7-12 years of advertising/brand experience. 
  • You have passion for and proficiency in verbal and written communications. You’ve mastered transforming complication into simplicity.
