Print Producer

New York, United States Full-time

Who We Are

We are Mekanism.

We solve real business problems using a strategic blend of storytelling, high design and/or clever, bust-a-gut humor.  It’s basically just advertising.  We do it for brands your Mom’s heard of – HBO, Charles Schwab, Ben & Jerry’s, Talenti, Papa Murphy’s, Muscle Milk, MillerCoors, Alaska Airlines, Peloton, The Wine Group, The White House (seriously).

Our innovative approach to get asses in seats and move product from shelves has earned Agency of the Year Awards the past two years, numerous Effies, two Harvard case studies and all sorts of industry hardware.

We take great pride in making unconventional campaigns for brands in conventional categories.  Our patented blend of storytelling for emerging media takes a small army of Mekanistas to pull off.  What is a Mekanista you ask? Being a Mekanista requires a rare combination of being a strange, wonderful and talented person who enjoys coffee, crying, ping-pong and impromptu rooftop jam and workout sessions.  We are smart, strange, wonderful folks that brave our contentious and often violent brainstorming sessions to make advertising magic.

The Role

The Production Department at Mekanism is made up of creative, problem- solving ninjas. We know how to get stuff done with grace, professionalism and a sense of humor. We don’t crack under pressure, we have a can-do mindset, are able to multi-task and we play well with others. We can easily produce a large job with many moving pieces and a large budget, as well as find a way to make a production with a small budget look like it cost a million dollars.

We are looking to add a Senior Print Producer to the team to oversee the development and completion of all print media. You will be handle al stages of the process from initial scheduling, estimating, reviewing projects with creative and brand management, sourcing photographers and managing photo shoots, quality control, prepress, printing, delivery and financial follow-through. Oh and we also produce digital and rich media banners. Experience in the digital arena is a definite plus, but we can get you up-to-speed if a newbie.

You will be our inaugural stills/digital producer in our NY office with the rest of the department located in San Francisco. So, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working solo, of course with all of the support that comes with a larger department.
