Key Areas of Responsibility

Sharpen & Grow Mekanism Media Strategy & Execution Capabilities: Expand how we use media to reach and engage audiences, as well as how to tell stories across multiple channels.

Media Strategy Leadership: Lead selected clients’ media strategy. Be a driver of media’s integration with other departments within Mekanism. Ideally – be a hybrid media/comms planner.

Digital Partnership Innovation: With your strong digital / mobile / social / emerging media chops and passion, help us crack innovation for our clients when working with publishers and other media companies.

Emerging Media: Help Mekanism continue to define and deliver on Emerging Media. Drive Media innovation both internally and externally. 

Data & Tech: Use data and technology creatively to tackle and solve client challenges. Think laterally about personalized experiences and how to make them effective.

New Business: Sell services of Media capability in new business pitches to prospective clients



  • You must have 5+ years of experience with a media company or integrated agency
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
  • You must have solid cross-channel planning experience, including mobile/digital planning experience
  • You must have experience of managing and developing junior team members
  • You must have experience of scoping and putting in place contracts for media engagements
  • You must have experience working on large clients and also want to work on Fortune 500 Brands as much as Start Ups.
  • You must have a passion for creativity, innovation and defining media 2.0
  • It would be nice if you had health category experience, but it’s not essential
  • You must know media strategy, content distribution and (ideally) communications strategy like the back of your hand and constantly be on the lookout for ways to disrupt the way our clients and Mekanism think about them.
  • You must have significant experience developing strategies for campaigns that push the limits of social, digital and experiential marketing.
  • You must be comfortable navigating the complex worlds of many different types of companies and know how to effectively push clients toward new ways of thinking.
  • You must be comfortable working at a fast pace and be able to work directly with creative & planning teams. We blend teams across disciplines.
  • You must have a thirst to be a part of New Business Pitches, even better if you have a track record of winning them.
  • You must have great client skills. This means you should like to, and be proficient at, presenting and work-shopping with clients on complex problems. It also means you're generally a nice person.
  • You are a social animal. You like to present creative and account with new technologies and ideas to help grow business.
